The City of South Padre Island’s Environmental Health Services Department and the Keep South Padre Island Beautiful Committee continue their efforts to promote environmentally responsible livin g on our beautiful island. In collaboration with America Recycles Day, our annual Recycle Land Event will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Water Tower Park from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Items that can be brought to be recycled are: aluminum, appliances, beads, brass, car batteries, cardboard, cigar boxes, copper, dishes, fabric, footwear, furniture, gently used clothing, glassware, light bulbs, linens, metal, newspaper, office paper, old keys, phone books, plastic, printer cartridges, radiators, rib bons, tin, transmissions, wine corks, wooden frames and working appliances. Please join us in going green and do your part to help keep South Padre Island Beautiful!
